Dr Shallcross studied medicine at the University of Liverpool graduating in 2009, following an intercalated degree in pharmacology.
Dr Shallcross joined The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre as a clinical oncology specialist registrar in 2013, completing her clinical oncology training in 2020. She has a specialist interest in lower gastrointestinal malignancies, giving treatment with chemotherapy, radiotherapy and immunotherapy.
Dr Shallcross is involved in research as a co-investigator for colorectal cancer clinical trials. She has a keen interest in medical education and is Undergraduate Clinical Sub-Dean at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre, supporting and co-ordinating the training and education of medical students from the University of Liverpool.
