Dr Alexandra McDougall

Dr McDougall graduated from Keele University in 2012 and spent her early career working in the West Midlands before moving back to Liverpool for specialty training. She joined The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre as a consultant in July 2022. She enjoys an active role in patient care both on the wards and in an outpatient clinic setting. 

Dr McDougall runs Enhanced Supportive Care Clinics at our Liverpool and Aintree sites, to provide patients with practical advice, emotional support and to improve/resolve troublesome symptoms including pain. She also runs a joint Enhanced Supportive Care clinic with the Lung Team. 

Dr McDougall is the education lead for the Palliative Care Team and is passionate about education of medical students, doctors and other healthcare professionals.
