Dr Abhishek Mahajan studied at the Kasturba Medical College, Manipal. He was a cancer imaging fellow at the Tata Memorial Hospital in Mumbai from 2009-2011.
After completing his fellowship he joined Tata Memorial Centre in Mumbai and served until 2022 as a consultant radiologist and professor of radiology. During this tenure he took a sabbatical year and completed a masters in translational cancer medicine at King’s College London in 2014, as well three visiting observerships in Boston, Brisbane and London.
Dr Mahajan joined The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre in March 2022 as a consultant radiologist with special interest in head and neck, thoracic and neurological malignancies.
Dr Mahajan has been actively involved in research, being the principal investigator for 21 clinical trials. He has written extensively about oncological imaging and is regularly invited to speak at specialist conferences.
